Janet has performed "Cabaret" in 7 countries, and in 3 languages.  She won the Victoires de la Musique, the French equivalent of a Grammy, for her performance in "Cabaret" directed by the late Jérôme Savary.  She began in Paris and toured all over Europe as Sally:  the only American in the production, in which the text was all French, translated by Jérôme Savary himself.

Janet's first Broadway Show was "Annie" in which she played the Star To Be.  Since then, she's done many, many productions and most recently played Miss Hannigan.  Such is her log relationship with this show.

Singing - Cabaret, Speciale Cinema performance, Geneva, 1988

From 1987-1989, Janet performed the role of Sally Bowles in Cabaret directed by Jérôme Savary - in French. Replacing Ute Lemper who left the show to pursue a singing career, Janet jumped in to glorious reviews in Paris (Victoires de la Musique award), then toured Italy, France and Switzerland with a full cast, crew and orchestra.

When they played parts of Europe that had been occupied by the Germans in WWII, often people were very deeply moved to tears. The role of Max (Ernst in the movie) was played by Ralph Zaiser, a German talent whose father, when a Nazi plotted against Hitler and was killed for it.
